About these terms

Hogr is provided by Hogr Food Network Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (“Hogr”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, accessing or using the Hogr app or website (together, “Hogr”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Hogr.

Who can use Hogr

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law to use Hogr. By using Hogr, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Your account

• Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us straight away at support@hogr.in if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the app’s settings.

Not medical advice

Hogr is a food tracking and wellness tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not give medical, nutritional or dietary advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Calorie, macronutrient and other figures in Hogr are estimates based on typical recipes and portion sizes. They may not be accurate for your meal. Goals and suggestions are general guidance only and are not tailored medical advice.

Talk to a doctor or a qualified dietitian before you make significant changes to your diet or activity, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition such as diabetes, heart or kidney disease, take medication, or have a history of disordered eating.

Hogr may record allergies or foods you avoid, but it cannot guarantee that any suggestion is free of a particular ingredient or allergen. Always check ingredients yourself.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or call 112 straight away.

AI features

Hogr uses artificial intelligence to understand what you say or type, recognise food in photos, estimate nutrition and suggest meals. AI can make mistakes. It may misunderstand you, misidentify a dish or give an inaccurate estimate. Please review your meal logs and use your own judgement. You can edit or delete any entry.

Your content

Your meal logs, voice input, photos, questions and other things you add to Hogr (“your content”) belong to you.

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to provide, personalise and improve Hogr, as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in backups for a limited time.

You are responsible for your content, and you confirm that you have the right to share it with us. Do not upload anything that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Using Hogr fairly

When you use Hogr, you agree not to:

• break any law, or use Hogr for anything fraudulent or harmful;
• upload content that is offensive, abusive, obscene or violates anyone’s privacy or intellectual property;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer or try to extract the source code of Hogr, except where the law allows it;
• scrape, data mine or access Hogr using bots or automated tools without our written permission;
• interfere with or disrupt Hogr, its security or its servers, or try to gain unauthorised access;
• impersonate anyone, or share your account with others;
• use Hogr to build a competing product or service.

Paid features

We may offer optional paid features or subscriptions in Hogr. If we do:

• The price and what you get will be shown clearly before you buy.
• Payments are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. We do not handle or store your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
• If we change a subscription price, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Our intellectual property

Hogr, including its software, design, text, graphics, the Hogr name and logo and the Hogr character, belongs to Hogr Food Network Private Limited or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Hogr app for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

Third-party services

Hogr may link to or work with services run by other companies, such as app stores. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Changes

We are always improving Hogr, so we may add, change or remove features from time to time.

We may also update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Hogr after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Hogr and delete your account.

Ending your use of Hogr

You can stop using Hogr and delete your account at any time from the app’s settings.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering Hogr. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download or delete your data. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, will still apply after your account ends.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Hogr accurate, available and secure, but Hogr is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent allowed by law, we make no promises that Hogr will always be available, error-free or that any estimate or suggestion will be accurate or suitable for you, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Hogr and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Hogr.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Hogr is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Hogr in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Indemnity

You agree to compensate Hogr for any claims, losses or costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise because you broke these terms, misused Hogr or infringed someone else’s rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@hogr.in and we will try to resolve it quickly and informally. If we cannot, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Hogr from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:

• Agreement. These terms are between you and Hogr only, not Apple. Hogr, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Licence. Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• Maintenance and support. Hogr is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
• Warranty. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by any failure to meet a warranty are Hogr’s responsibility.
• Product claims. Hogr, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, including in connection with the app’s use of the HealthKit framework if applicable.
• Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Hogr, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as your mobile data service agreement.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Google Play terms

If you downloaded Hogr from Google Play, your use of Google Play and any purchases you make through it are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
