Common questions
How do I log a meal?
Tap the mic in the middle of the bottom bar and say what you ate, the way you’d tell a friend. For example, “two rotis, dal and a bowl of curd for lunch”.
Prefer typing? Type it instead. Hogr works out the calories and nutrients and adds the meal to your day.
You can also add a photo of your plate. It’s optional, but it helps Hogr judge the portion size and spot exactly what’s on it.
How accurate are the calories and nutrients?
They are estimates based on typical recipes and portion sizes. The more detail you give, the closer they get. Say “two rotis with ghee” or “one katori of dal” rather than just “dal”.
If something looks off, open the meal and correct it.
Can I edit or delete a meal?
Yes. Open the meal from Today or Calendar to change what you ate or how much, or to delete it.
How do I change my calorie goal?
Open Persona from the bottom bar, then go to Goals or Body & targets. Your daily calories, protein, carbs and fat update straight away.
What does “Didn’t eat?” do?
If you skipped a meal, tap No breakfast, No lunch or No evening on the Today screen. Hogr then knows your day is complete, and your calendar colours in correctly.
What is my Food Persona?
It’s Hogr’s picture of how you eat: your taste (spicy, tangy, sweet and more), your eating habits and your nutrition patterns. It builds up as you log meals and changes as your habits do.
Hogr can’t hear me. What should I do?
Check that Hogr is allowed to use your microphone.
iPhone: Settings › Apps › Hogr › turn on Microphone. On iOS 17 or earlier, go to Settings › Hogr instead.
Android: Settings › Apps › Hogr › Permissions › Microphone › Allow.
Speaking in a quieter place helps too. And you can always type instead.
Is Hogr medical advice?
No. Hogr helps you track what you eat, but it isn’t a doctor. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are planning a big change to your diet, talk to a doctor or dietitian first. Read more in our Terms of Use.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account at any time from the app’s settings. This permanently deletes your meals, Food Persona and profile within 30 days.
You can also email support@hogr.in from the email address or mobile number on your account, and we’ll do it for you.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don’t sell your personal data or share it with advertisers. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can see, correct or delete it.
